Dallas Cowboys Ring Of Honor Welcomes Darren Woodson!
As caustic as Jerry Jones is perceived by many, and some would say for good reason, it’s good to hear when he performs a good deed.
It has been officially announced that former safety and Super Bowl Winner for the Dallas Cowboys, Darren Woodson, will be inducted into the prestigious Ring Of Honor at halftime of the November 1 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
This move by the enigmatic Owner and GM is welcome and lauded by many. Woodson has been deemed as deserving of the honor for years now, with a large contingent deeming him to also be worthy of the NFL Hall Of Fame.
Selected in the 2nd round of the 1992 NFL Draft, Woodson possessed versatility rarely seen in safeties and became the prototype for the modern safety. Retiring with back problems after the 2003 season, the Cowboys have yet to replace his unique skill set.
Let’s hope that Jerry Jones will begin to adopt such good deeds as his own consistent skill set!
