Dallas Cowboys Team Identity – Finally Making Progress?
Since Troy Aikman’s back forced him into retirement, he has repeatedly said that the Dallas #Cowboys lack a team identity. Aikman also lays the blame for this dysfunction at the feet of Owner and General Manager #Jerry Jones.
Now comes this tidbit from the man Jerry Jones exalted to the point man for the Cowboys’s Draft this past off season. Dallas Cowboys’ Draft Czar Will McClay says that they wanted to draft players that didn’t “pee their pants” from the pressure of being under the Dallas Cowboys Spotlight.
Couple this with the revelation from #JerryJones that the reason they passed on #JohnnyManziel was because Manziel was an “explosion” waiting to happen, and it appears that the #Cowboys are finally starting to define themselves in relation to the rest of the #NFL.
How comforting to Cowboys fans that they can confidently watch their favorite team knowing that the odds of a Cowboys player “peeing their pants” or “exploding” while under contract is deemed by team officials to be very low.
How comforting also for the loyal Cowboys Fan to know that General Manager Jerry Jones is finally starting to make progress in the area of team identity and faithfully keeping the public up to date.
