Dallas Cowboys’ Touchdown Tony Dorsett
They didn’t call him “Touchdown Tony” for nothing. Tony Dorsett had a knack for reaching the endzone, and speed was his means of reaching it. When the afterburners kicked in, he was hard to catch.
In fact, Tom Landry couldn’t catch him. It was Tony’s speed and ability to find running daylight, wherever it might be, that caused the Cowboys Head Coach to relinquish his demands for Dorsett to run where the plays were designed to go. But that’s how special his talent was.
