Garrett Says Policing Of Joint Practices With Rams Won’t Be Affected By Recent Training Camp Fights
Fighting has been a common theme across NFL training camps in 2015, highlighted, of course, by the Texans-Redskins brawl of two Saturdays ago. With the St. Louis Rams coming to Oxnard to practice with the Cowboys for a couple of days, Babe Laufenberg of CBS-11 out of Dallas used Monday’s press conference to ask Jason Garrett about the possibility of added restrictions while the Rams were sharing the same field.
Laufenberg: Have you issued any guidelines telling your team not to fight. Obviously, [Rams head coach] Jeff Fisher’s telling his team not to fight…Are there any repercussions for guys? Have you said, ‘This is what we’re going to do if you do this?’
Laufenberg: You go on a case by case basis?
Laufenberg: [In the event of a fight,] Belichik throws them out practice. Different teams do different things.
Garrett: We just try to focus on our team.
