Jerry Jones’ Portfolio of QB Draftees: No. 2 Bill Musgrave
1991 was Norv Turner’s first season in Dallas as the offensive coordinator, and though his primary chore was going to be working with a Troy Aikman-led offense, Turner couldn’t help but notice a kid named Musgrave out of Oregon. After pleading with Dallas head coach Jimmy Johnson to pick him, the Cowboys finally snatched Musgrave off the board in the fourth round, 106th overall.
Though he would later enjoy success as an assistant coach, Musgrave’s time in Dallas was a shortlived one as he was released prior to the regular season.
