Leave It To Randy Galloway To Make Sense Of Jerry’s Super Bowl Blunder
It caught many people by surprise when, at the training camp-opening press conference in late July, Jerry Jones neglected to mention any possibility of his Dallas Cowboys making a run at the Super Bowl in 2014. Normally a time when Jones’ anticipation of a new season overcomes his better judgement, his unexpectedly temperate speech left some wondering if he had turned over a new leaf. Or if he was simply depressed after looking at his team’s defensive depth chart. And on and on it went… But out of all of the many theories being offered up from a perplexed public as to why, Randy Galloway may have shared the most eloquent in his “special” to the Fort Worth Star Telegram on July 27.
Wrote Galloway: “Why no mention of “Super Bowl” in Oxnard last week? He’s 71. He forgot. It happens, believe me.”
