Grant Arnold is a 2028 C/RHP, OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Merritt Island, FL who attends Merritt Island. Tall, athletic frame with present strength and room to continue adding. Good runner, ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter, wide base with high hands and back elbow, controlled violence to the swing with advanced bat speed and strength, ball jumps off the barrel when extended. Middle to pull approach and projects in a big way. Primary catcher, higher staggered feet setup, receives well with softness to the hands, athletic out of the crouch, compact arm action with big arm strength from behind the plate, recorded throws up to 81 mph and a pop-time of 2.04. Secondary right-handed pitcher, side steps into a belt high leg lift, long arm action to a high 3/4 release point, obvious arm speed and sat comfortably in the mid-80s, getting up to 88 mph (2232 RPM) and it plays nicely up in the zone. Snapped off some nasty sliders, up to 78 mph (1741 RPM). Also worked out in the outfield, charges in hard, one hand funnel off to the side of the frame, short and quick arm and throws come out of the hand really well, recorded throws up to 92 mph with carry out of the hand.
