Caleb Alexander is a 2027 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Summer Creek. Features a medium-sized build with some present athleticism and strength. In the INF, showed adv. actions where the athleticism shows. Light feet get him to his spots on time showing lateral quickness where he works low to the ground with clean glove actions with GBs at him and to the forehand side with some reach to the backhand side. Decent quickness to release where he kept a shorter arm action that got off throws with above avg. strength for his level with accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a wider base with tighter set hands. Showed a compact stroke with noticeable hand/bat speed. Path works with good length through the baseball and leverages his lower half in the swing well. Stayed through the middle of the field and hit a couple loud LDs into the LC gap. Noticeable feel for the barrel. On the mound, showed a slower build into leg lift into a more drop/drive type delivery. Arm gets up early and shows advanced armspeed to a higher 3/4 slot where his mid 80s, T86 FB worked downhill and flashed some cutting action. Got several whiffs up with FB. Mixed in a couple upper 60s breakers with 10-4 shape that he's showing developing feel for. Named to 14U Select Fest Roster.
