Louis Lappe is a 2029 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from El Segundo, CA. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.84 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, some bend at the waist, sound glove work and able to adjust, clean funnel and easy actions with accurate throws across the diamond. Moves well around the bag at first base, attacks the ball well and shows clean actions, ball carries out of hand well. Also pitched, works exclusively out of the stretch, compact arm action through the back and hides it well working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, worked around the zone well and showed some life out of the hand. Curveball shows short 11-5 shape up to 71 mph, added depth to pitch throughout and landed well throughout. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and shows looseness to hands in swing; lots of quickness to them and generates solid whip to the barrel head. Utilizes length well to generate leverage through the point of contact with real impact to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Looseness in hands, real bat speed through the zone and found the barrel well in live action. Named to the 2024 13u Select Festival.
