Orlando Oates is a 2028 SS/3B, MIF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Aquinas. Features a taller/lean frame with present athleticism and good projection. Ran a 7.12 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed solid actions that look to stick on the dirt. Avg. foot quickness but that play light and get him on-time. Clean glovework where he displays early and shows softness at reception. A bit slower to release with a glove tap but arm has above avg. strength across with decent accuracy. At the plate, he stands in a medium base and uses a smaller leg lift trigger that lands with good flow into launch. Shows above avg. bat speed that translated to some strong impact off the barrel. Swing path works flatter through but gets a bit into some early rotational which caused some early pull out of the shoulders and barrel. Had a couple quality barrels in-game, his best being a shot into the LC that one-hopped the wall for a triple. Named to 14u Select Fest Roster.
