Powered by a six-run last inning, Iowa Select PV 22/23 overcame a 14-hit performance from the Iowa Select 2023 Munson offense to sneak out a 9-8 victory. Davis Webb (2023, Tipton, Iowa) would toe the rubber for Munson to start, and he turned in quite the performance. Webb would throw three innings, giving up just one hit to the first batter of the game, and striking out eight of the ten batters he faced, which included striking out the side in his last two innings.
